Hajj Pilgrimage amidst covid-19 pandemic: a review

Hajj pilgrimage is a nobligation for every Muslim that must be carried out at least once in their lifetime. Every year, more than 3 million pilgrims from over 180 countries travel to worship within confined area of twelve kilometres Makkah, Kingdom Saudi Arabia (KSA). The host country and participating need institute effective measures safer healthier pilgrimage. In the immediate season during COVID-19 pandemic, number reduced optimum can managed individual countries’ missions. Beside proof clearance before travelling completed Covid-19 vaccination, stay KSA should shortened ritual only. responsible thoroughly select individuals with low risk severe infections, provide health education program, offer all compulsory recommended vaccines allocate adequate healthcare/isolation centres KSA. are also liable prepare quarantine places hajj when returning home. Individual prevent respiratory pathogens spreading. Prior departure Hajj, they undergo thorough medical examination, received follow program. During instructions by authorities, practicing proper hygiene, wearing face mask avoid crowded places. They report mission healthcare if having any fever or syndromes. With prior, post-Hajj, we hope security next seasons will minimized.
